As a result, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto is now a law rm with approximately 480 attorneys (including non- Japanese lawyers), and approximately 500 other support sta such as qualied tax or patent attorneys, judicial scriveners, paralegals, translators and librarians. e rm is now recognized as the leading full-service law rms in Japan and has ac-tively developed overseas services to match the acceler-ating pace of globalization by Japanese clients. e rm opened oces in Beijing in 1998, Shanghai in 2005, Singapore in 2012, Yangon in 2014, Bangkok in 2015 and Ho Chi Minh City in 2018. In January 2017, the rm has, through its Bangkok Oce, integrated its busi-ness with that of a leading law rm in ailand, Chan-dler & ong-ek Law Oces Limited (“CTLO”), and CTLO has changed its name to Chandler MHM Lim-ited. Aiming to improve its legal services in the Japanese domestic market, in parallel with its overseas expansion, the rm has also expanded domestically. In Japan, the rm has oces of Mori Hamada & Matsumoto LPC in Fukuoka (2013), Osaka (2014) and Nagoya (2015). Yasuzo Takeno, Partner said “Our strength literally lies in being a ‘full-service law rm’.
